LoviSil® cable joints: the solution in limited weld hole

Sydney-based Endeavour Energy chose LoviSil® transition joints during a challenging project with a limited weld hole. This innovative solution offers flexibility and reliability even under difficult conditions.

Challenge: limited space and complex infrastructure

At the Pad Mount Substation, Endeavour Energy had to mount two transition sleeves and replace a switch. The problem? The weld hole was small due to nearby gas and water pipes and telecommunications cables. A traditional solution was not possible.

Why LoviSil® cable joints?

Installation manager Richard Jeremiejczk called in KD Fisher, distributor of Lovink Enertech. Together they chose LoviSil® transition joints because of:

  • Compact installation in limited space
  • Reliable performance in humid conditions
  • Easy installation with no additional cable space
The technicians were very satisfied with the installation and the result.

Resistant to water and moisture

During the work, the weld hole filled with water and had to be pumped out first. Thanks to LoviSil’s® liquid silicone technology , the sleeves form an insulating rubber on contact with moisture, making them perfect for wet soils. This guarantees long-term reliability.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Suitable for limited weld holes
  • Waterproof solution for humid conditions
  • Quick and trouble-free assembly
  • Long-term sustainable performance
