At Lovink Enertech, we believe in innovation and collaboration. That’s why we recently launched a special project with students from the University of Twente (UT). As part of the course New Technology and Business Development, they will conduct a High Tech feasibility study and route-to-market analysis for our LoviSil® crossbonding joints.

Why this collaboration?

This project comes at the right time because we are currently in the process of renewing our website and marketing strategy. Through this collaboration, we aim to leverage the latest insights to optimize our time-to-market and further strengthen our digital and commercial approach.

Our crossbonding cable joint offers a smart solution for a specific challenge in medium-voltage cable networks. Its added value has already been demonstrated, and customers who use it are enthusiastic. However, the path to market introduction has not yet been fully explored.

Lovink wants to gain insight into:

  • Where does the real added value lie for customers and within the network?
  • How can we approach the market in a targeted way to successfully launch the product?

With these answers, we can develop a strategy that not only meets customer needs but also ensures a strong market position.

What will the students do?

The students will carry out an in-depth analysis based on both primary data (interviews with experts and potential customers) and secondary data (market analyses, reports, and company documents). Their assignment includes:

  • Examining the technology and its societal impact
  • Analyzing market structure and competition
  • Understanding customer needs and value proposition
  • Developing a business model and roadmap for market introduction

The result? A concrete report and presentation outlining the feasibility of our technology and the steps toward a successful market launch.

Why is working with students important?

Collaboration with students offers benefits for both sides:

  • Fresh ideas and new perspectives: Students approach challenges with an open mind and often come up with creative solutions.
  • Latest academic insights: Theory and models are applied directly to a real-world case.
  • Valuable experience for students: They gain the opportunity to work on a real business case and acquire practical skills.

In short: This collaboration is an important step toward a future where innovative technologies are not only developed but also successfully introduced. It helps us to renew our marketing strategy and digital presence while at the same time offering students a unique learning experience. We look forward to the students’ insights and to jointly discovering the best route to market.
