Terborg, July 2025 – Lovink Enertech announces the launch of the LoviX® R, a new connection joint designed to meet the challenges of both modern and future medium-voltage networks. This innovation enables grid operators to achieve more robust, secure and durable cable connections – even under the most demanding conditions.
The LoviX® R is more than just a medium-voltage cable joint. It is a reliable solution for the increasing demands of the energy transition. Growing electrification, renewable energy generation and climate change require connections that guarantee long-term reliability. Lovink is responding to this with a joint that excels in waterproofness, thermal resistance and mechanical strength.
Designed for error-free installation
Combining the trusted cold shrink technology with a Protolin-filled® ABS housing, the LoviX® R cable joint offers exceptional protection against moisture penetration and varying loads. Assembly is simple, flame-free and consistent, regardless of the experience of the jointer. This minimizes the chance of errors and ensures uniformity in the field.
Certified reliability
The LoviX® R has been extensively tested in accordance with the CENELEC HD 629 and IEEE 404 standards and thus meets the highest mechanical and electrical requirements.
Ready for the networks of tomorrow
With features such as silicone-rubber insulation, integrated geometric field control and an extra protection with Protolin® resin, the LoviX® R is designed for the long term. The cable joint provides the reliability and resilience needed to support grid expansion and sustainability goals.
Availability
The LoviX® R is now available in several versions and is suitable for conductor cross-sections from 95 mm² to 630 mm². The R70 model, intended for larger cable sizes up to 1,000 mm2, is expected in the first quarter of 2026.
