At Lovink, we believe that technological leadership starts with people. That is why we are proud to strengthen our Engineering & Development department with Anita Jose, a young and driven engineer. With her academic background and direct contribution to product development, she not only strengthens our team, but also reinforces our position as a specialist in the field of cable joints.
From TU/e research to industrial application
Anita started her graduation project in June 2025 as part of her Chemistry studies at Eindhoven University of Technology. During this internship, she worked within our E&D department on a topic that directly relates to our core expertise: the water permeability of insulating resins in cable joints. Anita investigated how material properties can be analysed and improved to further enhance the reliability and service life of cable connections.
The relevance of this research is significant. Water ingress is one of the main failure mechanisms in medium-voltage cables. By understanding and optimising material properties at a microscale level, the reliability and lifetime of cable connections can be demonstrably increased. Anita’s work therefore aligned seamlessly with our mission to develop robust cable joints for critical infrastructure.
A successful internship with lasting impact
The graduation internship was successfully completed and resulted in the attainment of her master’s degree. Her work delivered valuable insights that are not only theoretical in nature, but also directly applicable within our product development activities. In doing so, Anita demonstrated how academic research can contribute to concrete, industrial solutions.
Growth within E&D: from graduate to junior R&D Engineer
As of 1 November 2025, Anita officially joined Lovink as a Junior R&D Engineer, and she has now gained two months of experience in this role. She is involved in engineering concepts that are translated into robust solutions for medium-voltage networks. Her analytical approach, combined with a fresh perspective, brings new insights to ongoing projects.
Building the future of cable joints
With professionals like Anita, we deliberately invest in knowledge, continuity, and innovation. Not only by developing products, but by deepening and sharing expertise. In this way, we are steadily building reliable cable joints that meet the demands of tomorrow’s energy networks—and strengthening our role as a leading knowledge partner in the sector.
