Marco has been working at Lovink for more than 40 years, where he started in the iron foundry and made the switch to Lovink Enertech in 2002. As far as Marco is concerned, collaboration is the keyword for a successful production department.
In 2015, Lovink started the production of these so-called LSR (Liquid Silicone Rubber) parts. As team leader of LSR production, Marco has been involved in setting up this department from the start. This is where the silion insulating parts and radiant funnels for the 36 kV range are produced. Important parts that are manufactured in a ‘cleanroom’ environment. The 36 kV series of LoviSil cable joints are equipped with these silicone parts, which together guarantee reliable field control. The silicone tube is a prefabricated part with integrated field control and has the same electrical properties as the LoviSil® liquid and the cable insulation.
Marco was used to working together a lot in his former role as a quality employee. In addition to the control work, he also drew up instructions and guided the people on the shop floor. Before setting up the LSR department, he also had a lot of contact with the people from the E&D department. He had to get used to this in the beginning. Developers often need more time to come up with something and often the best solution is created through trial and error, it doesn’t have to go right the first time. The whole start-up was a beautiful and educational period.
What is striking is that Marco enjoys his job very much. As far as he is concerned, this has everything to do with the people, who form the basis for a pleasant working environment. Everyone is positive, does their best and wants to help each other further. This also applies to the management: Marco is still happy that he has been given the trust and freedom to set up something new after so many years of service.
But this also applies the other way around: Lovink Enertech is happy with employees like Marco, motivated professionals who are still open to new challenges.
