Branch Splices

LoviSil® branch splices offer an efficient and sustainable solution for branches in medium-voltage grids. Thanks to the universal LoviSil® technology, almost all cable combinations can be realized, both with PILC and XLPE. With one joint , a secure branch connection is created without additional cable splices or unnecessary cable length.

  • Fewer cable splices required – one branch splice replaces several transition or connection splices.

  • Reduces cable length and digging – direct branching eliminates additional welding and requires a smaller weld hole.

  • Widely applicable in 15 and 25 kV grids – suitable for various medium-voltage configurations and cable types.

Applications

LoviSil® branch splices are ideal for medium-voltage grids in the energy sector and industry that want to branch off, expand or renovate efficiently. The cables allow direct branches between GLCC and XLPE cables, without additional sleeves. This makes the splices a smart choice for wind farms (feed-in), routes where a station is no longer available (loop splice) and all situations in which flexibility, reliability and cost savings are central.
