Engineering & Development Engineer Medium Voltage

The position

The E&D Engineer MS is the electrical conscience of our products. You are responsible for the management and continuous improvement of our existing products in the field of electrical engineering. The operational completion of customer questions creates a nice dynamic in this position.

In addition, you specify the electrical design of products to be developed by means of modelling and simulation, after which the design is validated with prototypes in our own laboratories to arrive at a final design. In close collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain Management, the design is then formed into a new product to be delivered to customers. You will also develop, often together with knowledge centres, technical concepts for the long term.

On a daily basis, you will work closely with fellow engineers, each of whom has their own expertise within the complex technology that comes together in our products; product design, mechanics, thermodynamics, chemistry and electrical engineering.

What do we ask of you?

You are able to carry out your work independently and can lead (sub)projects. You work in a systematic way, draw up project and test plans and make (test) reports. You are broadly interested, inquisitive, creative and result-oriented. You look for cooperation, are communicative and do not shy away from initiative. Your adequate network provides many new impulses for both operational and strategic issues. You enjoy both the theoretical and practical aspects of the job.

You have:

  • HBO/TU in electrical engineering, energy technology or medium/high voltage;
  • experience in performing physical simulations, for example with ComSol
  • experience in working with measurement setups and measuring equipment;
  • preferably experience within a development environment;
  • preferably experience in the market area of fittings for medium and high voltage grids;
  • good command of the Dutch and English language, German is an advantage.

We supply cable joints and end terminations for medium-voltage cables up to and including 36 kV. For more than 100 years, our high-quality products have proven their contribution to a reliable electricity grid.

To this end, Lovink Enertech has extensive and modern test facilities, such as an electrical and materials laboratory and an outdoor test field.
