Last week, Ron Tiedink (Account Manager Benelux) visited SAB Training Centre in Hoofddorp. During this visit, a special milestone was reached: the first practical installation of the new LoviX® R joint in the training institute’s workshop.

Learning, testing and collaborating
SAB Training Centre offers hands-on training programmes for jointers in the energy sector. The collaboration with Lovink ensures that (future) students learn to work not only with existing technologies, but also with the latest innovations in cable jointing.
During the installation of the LoviX® R, instructors had the opportunity to experience the new joint first-hand. The session provided space for questions, feedback and practical tips from the user’s perspective – valuable input for the further development process.

The LoviX® R represents the latest generation of cable joints for polymeric medium-voltage cables. Developed with real-world application in mind, the system offers a less error-prone installation, greater reliability, and optimal protection against moisture and, above all, mechanical stress. Thanks to its compact design, installation is straightforward for both experienced jointers and those still in training.
