Branch Joints

LoviSil® branch joints offer an efficient and sustainable solution for branches in medium-voltage cable grids. Thanks to the universal LoviSil® technology, almost all cable combinations can be realized, both with PILC and XLPE. With one joint , a secure branch connection is created without additional cable joints or unnecessary cable length.

Applications

LoviSil® branch joints are ideal for medium-voltage grids in the energy sector and industry that want to branch off, expand or renovate efficiently. The cables allow direct branches between PILC and XLPE cables, without additional joints. This makes the joints a smart choice for wind farms (feed-in), Cable Upgrades and Repowering and routes where a MV switching station is no longer available (loop joint) and all situations in which flexibility, reliability and cost savings are central.

Creating reliable cable branches in MV networks is complex. Incorrect solutions can lead to:
