When Charles is behind ‘his’ mixing installation, he is in continuous operation and keeps an overview of the mixing and packaging of the Protolin® resin.

In more than 36 years, Charles has seen a lot of developments. Since the 1970s, Lovink has been mixing two-component polyurethane resins that provide the mechanical insulation of the cable joints. During the switch to a new mixing plant in 2015, Charles played an important role, he has been involved in this project from the beginning. Many of his ideas have been adopted and today there is a well-running machine line.

Charles does not like to only mention his position in this article. He emphasizes that it’s really about the team, “I can’t do anything alone,” says Charles. He relies on his team in management, just as he gets a lot of trust from Lovink Enertech, which is very important to him. Just like job satisfaction: “If you let people do the things they are good at, it gives satisfaction and they enjoy doing it.”
