Export manager Dennis Jansen is still happy with his international switch to Lovink Enertech. After studying technical business administration, he aspired to a combination of technology and international business. Dennis has built up business for various regions and still sees many opportunities for Lovink.
Dennis started in 2012 in a team with mostly older account managers, who were only too happy to transfer their knowledge. This knowledge, but especially the practical experience, were very valuable for the growth that Dennis has experienced. This ‘old guard’ has now retired and together with 4 other account managers he forms the commercial team.
Dennis likes to identify new opportunities in export markets. He is most proud of the position that Lovink Enertech has acquired in the South African market. Dennis explains: “Due to the many similarities with the Dutch energy grid, but also by being there often, our technology was quickly embraced.”
Dennis attaches importance to visiting his international customers, but also finds it important to work together with colleagues. His input is regularly requested in project groups, e.g. about the customer acceptance of a new development or his technical vision of a practical situation. And of course the informal contacts. Dennis tries to attend the Friday afternoon drinks as much as possible.
Finally, Dennis likes that his ideas can be discussed quickly. Lovink is a flat organization with short lines of communication and good mutual relationships. “The people are involved and enthusiastic, whether you walk around the production hall or discuss a business case with the MT, you can taste that open atmosphere everywhere,” says Dennis.
