LoviSil® branch joint for routes with parallel cables

The LoviSil® cable joint is known as the universal solution for any cable combination. Recently, a LoviSil® branch joint was successfully used in the replacement of two parallel PILC cables with one 3-core XLPE cable.

Challenge: replacing parallel cables

A large grid operator in the Netherlands reconstructed a route with two parallel cables (2 times 3 x 700 mm2 PILC). These cables were replaced by a 3-core 240 mm2 XLPE cable. For this reason, a LoviSil® branch joint was chosen to keep the connection in the switching station intact.
